Special Effects For Virtual Dj Software

Virtual DJ is a perfect tool to help any DJ increase skills.

There are so many club DJs in the world right now that it's becoming more important for a DJ to find a way to stand out. Virtual DJ has been assisting DJs in their quest to push their musical boundaries since the year 2000. Virtual DJ simplifies the art of being a musical entertainer, and offers a variety of effects that will make your music unique.

Long Brake

Virtual DJ's Long Brake gives the DJ the option to keep the listener guessing by throwing in unexpected stops in the action. Long Brake frees up the DJ to make quick decisions on when it's a good time to simply stop the beat and let the sounds of a room speak for themselves.

Crusher

Virtual DJ's Crusher effect distorts and combines sounds, reducing the beats into an almost mashed up sound and, according to Virtual DJ, "cutting down the sampling rate and bit accuracy." The Crusher effect also comes with an anti-aliasing filter that is adjustable depending on how much distortion you want.

Cut

The Cut effect gives the DJ the option of randomly removing any beats from the song. The cut can be put onto as many beats as the DJ desires and can be utilized at any time.

Boomerang

The Boomerang is an effect used in manipulating samples. It gives the DJ the ability to bring in a sample, fade the sample out, and then have the sound come bursting back into play. The DJ can decide when to use the effect in any song.

Forward Reverse

Forward Reverse allows the DJ to play any parts of the song in reverse while the song continues to play. The DJ has the option of choosing where to start playing the song in reverse all the way down to the specific beat to start and end the effect.

SubBass

SubBass adds that extra deep thump that a song might need. With SubBass, the DJ can apply another appropriately pitched layer of bass over the existing bass line of a song that's playing or being sampled.

Sampler

Virtual DJ's Sampler is exactly what it sounds like. The Sampler allows the DJ to take pieces out of existing songs or audio bites for use in new productions. The DJ has volume control of both the sample and the song separately. The sample can also be recorded for use directly into an original song.

Slide Loop

Many DJs use Slide Loop to count down to the end of a song. When a DJ applies a Slide Loop, that particular piece of sound will then play on a loop. The catch with Slide Loop is that the sound bite will shorten after every time it plays.
