Problems With A Sony Vaio Vgnt350p

The Sony Vaio VGN-T350P laptop computer keeps you organized and connected to the Internet. Once you've started using the VGN-T350P, you might have issues with error messages, power or non-responsive programs.

Computer Won't Start

Power issues can be attributed to a disconnected power cord. Confirm that your Vaio is plugged into a power source and the "Power" button has been pushed. To confirm that the battery is seated properly, disconnect the battery from the Vaio by pushing the "Lock" switch (located on the bottom of the computer) until the battery slides free. Slide the battery back into the chamber until it clicks into place. If the battery has run out of power, allow the battery to charge by connecting the power cord before turning it back on.

BIOS Error Message

If the message "Press to Resume, to Setup" appears on the screen, push the "F2" key when you see the Vaio logo. The BIOS setup screen will appear. Enter the date (month/day/year) using your keyboard and press "Enter." Press the down button to highlight the time, enter the time and press "Enter." Press the right key to select "Exit" and push the down key to select "Get Default Values." The "Load Optimal Default Values" message will appear on the screen. Press "Enter," "OK" and "Enter." Select "Exit" to save the settings and press "Enter." "Save Configuration Changes and Exit Setup" will appear. Select "OK" and press "Enter."

Program Not Responding

If software stops responding, use your mouse to click "Start." Select "Turn Off Computer" and click "Turn Off." If the computer doesn't respond, press "Ctrl+Alt+Delete" at the same time. The Windows Task Manager window will open. Under the "Shut Down" menu, select "Turn Off."
