Making Your Laptop Computer Internetaccessible Anywhere

Business travelers or those constantly on the move might have trouble finding reliable wireless hotspots to use for Internet access. If you'd like your laptop computer to have always-on Internet capability, there are several options available from wireless carriers in the United States. Using a mobile hotspot device or a USB broadband modem, you can connect to a wireless Internet provider and have the Internet access everywhere you go.

Instructions

1. Subscribe to Sprint and use the MiFi 2200. This device creates a portable 3G Internet hotspot that you can take anywhere. Multiple devices can connect to the MiFi, including your laptop. When out of 3G range, you will still have access to a slower yet usable wireless Internet connection.

2. Purchase the USBConnect Lightning from AT&T Wireless. The USBConnect Lightning connects to your laptop computer via an available USB port and provides you with Internet access everywhere you have an AT&T signal.

3. Use the USB760 Modem from Verizon Wireless. Like the USBConnect Lightning, this device also connects to a USB port on your laptop computer. If you're in the Verizon Wireless coverage area, you'll have wireless broadband Internet access to complete work or check email.
