What Is An Adultsonly Sanctuary On A Princess Cruise Ship

For adult passengers on a Princess Cruise ship, a relaxing, spa-like escape is offered called the Sanctuary. The Sanctuary is for adults only; it offers a tranquil and serene atmosphere.

Purpose

The Sanctuary was designed as a place adults could go on a ship to relax and be pampered. It debuted in 2006 on the Crown Princess Cruise ship and instantly became popular among adult passengers. Since then, this service has been added to several other Princess ships, including the Emerald Princess and the Ruby Princess.

Atmosphere

The Sanctuary sits in an outdoor setting; lush greenery is spread throughout, along with breezes blowing gently and ocean waves. Soft spa music plays, while guests enjoy sitting on plush furniture.

Activities

Stewards are throughout the Sanctuary ready to serve passenger's needs with almost anything he wants. They offer chilled face towels and Evian water atomizers. Sunset yoga sessions are offered in the evenings, along with full Lotus Spa Services. Deep tissue muscle massages and relaxing Swedish massages are just two types of massage services offered there.

Dining

Stewards are readily available to serve guests with signature beverages and light meals. Beverages include healthy smoothies, energy drinks and fresh lemonade. Light meals include fruit skewers and lettuce-wrapped spring rolls.
