Dell is primarily a computer manufacturer. Among many other computer peripherals, Dell manufactures computer monitors. One of the rare problems with Dell monitors is their tendency to auto-adjust even when the picture quality is perfect. This results in constant flashing and disturbances on your computer screen. You can disable the "Auto-Adjust" feature by performing a monitor reset.
Instructions
1. Push the menu button at the front side of your Dell monitor. The icon looks look like a miniature version of your monitor.
2. Push the menu button again. This will exit the monitor menu and launch the OSD (On-Screen Display) menu.
3. Use the down arrow button on your monitor to select "Factory Reset."
4. Push the menu button.
5. Use the down arrow button to select "All Settings." Press the menu button to save changes.
6. Push the menu button twice to exit from the menu. Your Dell monitor will go back to its factory settings default, and its auto-detect feature will be disabled.
