Making Your Hair Grow Faster

You can make your hair grow faster.

Hair grows at an average of half an inch per month, said Cathy Howse, a hair care expert. While some people's hair grows much faster than that, others experience very slow hair growth. This can make it hard to grow out a hair cut or achieve longer hair lengths in a timely fashion. To speed up the process, some people turn to a variety of hair growth aides. If you are one of these people, there are a number of solutions you can use to make your hair grow faster. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

Making Your Hair Grow Faster

1. Eat a well-balanced diet full of high-quality protein. Protein, found in meat and eggs, promotes a healthy hair growth cycle. It also strengthens the hair strands before they grow out of your scalp so it's easier to retain your hair growth. Supplement your diet with a daily multi-vitamin to ensure that you are getting all of the protein and other nutrients you need.

2. Take the vitamin biotin each day. Biotin, a water- soluble B-complex vitamin, promotes faster hair growth on the scalp as well as the face. You will also notice faster growing nails. Biotin is potent and can cause skin breakouts because it brings impurities to the surface of the skin. Adjust the level of biotin to fit your needs. Biotin works best when taken with an 8-ounce glass of water to help with absorption.

3. Massage your scalp daily. Scalp massages create more blood circulation, which in turn stimulates and provides more nutrients to the hair follicle to speed up growth. Use the pads of your fingers and apply light pressure to your scalp in a circular motion. Occasionally use a light hair oil to moisturize the scalp and hair strands.

4. Exercise regularly with a cardio workout schedule. When you improve your overall health, you also improve your hair growth cycle. This is because exercise improves your body's blood circulation, which your body needs to function well, said fitness expert Jack LaLanne.
